SMH
It's been a few weeks since my last post. I've had so much to blog but hadn't the time. It's after 2:00 am and I can't sleep figured its the perfect time to blog. Wellllll, here I sit and haven't a thought in mind. LOL!!!!! I guess I'm actually too tired to think:) Maybe this is a sign that I'm ready for beddy bye now.
I suppose I can comment on the Christmas holidays. It was well anticipated as usual and came and went far too quickly. I had a great dinner with my family, even managed to make our mother cry. It was definite tears of joy, but tears none the less. Old years eve was quiet. Watched the celebrations on the telly, had a glass of wine, called a few people, sent and received a few texts of well wishes and off to bed. Its just not the same hype as my young adult years. I've promised on more than one occasion to have a party here to ring in the new year. I actually had one, once. It was mostly family and a couple of friends and it was great fun!
My birthday is coming up in March. I've decided I'm going to celebrate it this year. After all, I've had a stressful year (with pregnancy and delivery etc) so I think I deserve it. I'm not sure what to do. Dinner and movie is ok but I would like to do something different. A few years ago I invited some friends to The Sultan's Tent, a Moroccan restaurant. It was awesome! Plush furnishings, dim lighting, candles and lamps everywhere and the pieste de resistance? Belly dancers!! They were so sexy and talented in their craft. They came to each tent (table) and danced as well as pulled up a few people to join in the fun. Of course being it was my birthday, our waiter informed the dancers and they draped my waist with a wrap trimmed with bells and proceeded to dance seductively encouraging me to copy. I did my best considering I was timid to wine and grind in front of my colleagues. LOL!! Oh what fun!!
So this year I'm thinking about going to The Red Violin, a Brazilian themed restaurant also notorious for belly dancers. It's a pricey joint but worth every penny. You can literally eat until you pass out ( aka itis ) LOL There is a card at each table with one side red and the other green. They will keep bringing you food until you turn that card from green to red (STOP)!!! They also have a side table with seafood and salads (again, endless servings). Thank goodness they have a live band on the weekends so you can dance all that extra weight off. I've been there two or three times and think its a place everyone should experience at least once.
I'm also considering Medieval Times Dinner and Theatre. Just for the fun of it, as I've enjoyed it in the past. There's also a murder mystery dinner theatre I've never tried but it too sounds like fun.
Seems like I had more to say than I thought. But, I'm heading off to bed. I have to get up early to go with my daughter to register for some courses at G B College.
I titled this post SMH, an acronym I just googled the meaning of. I had to smh when I read what it was. Seems so obvious now. lol
Goodnight blog world!
